SeenAndCited Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy forms part of the SeenAndCited Terms & Conditions.

Its purpose is to ensure that all customers receive a reliable, stable and high-quality service while allowing us to manage platform resources fairly and sustainably.

Most customers will never need to think about this policy.

SeenAndCited is designed to provide generous usage allowances appropriate to each subscription plan.

We actively monitor platform performance and resource consumption to maintain a reliable experience for all customers.

Our goal is always to work with customers to resolve issues before taking any restrictive action.

Subscription plans include usage limits as described on the pricing page.

These may include:

• Number of monitored websites
• Monitoring probes
• Team members
• AI generation allowances
• Content generation features
• Reporting capabilities
• Publishing integrations

Where limits are reached, access to affected functionality may be restricted until:

• The next billing cycle begins
• Additional usage is purchased
• The subscription is upgraded

Normal business use is fully permitted.

This includes:

• Monitoring your own websites
• Monitoring authorised client websites
• Generating content
• Creating reports
• Managing visibility campaigns
• Performing competitive analysis

No special permission is required for legitimate business use within plan limits.

Users must not:

• Attempt to bypass subscription limits
• Circumvent monitoring restrictions
• Create accounts for fraudulent purposes
• Use the platform to disrupt service availability
• Attempt to interfere with platform security
• Use automated methods to exploit platform functionality
• Deliberately generate excessive platform costs without legitimate business purpose
• Misrepresent ownership or authorisation of monitored websites

You must only add websites that:

• You own; or
• You have been authorised to manage, monitor or analyse.

Agencies are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission from their clients before monitoring client websites.

In rare cases, activity may create resource demands that significantly exceed the normal expectations of a subscription plan.

Examples may include:

• Repeated generation requests with no legitimate business purpose
• Attempts to intentionally stress platform resources
• Deliberate efforts to generate disproportionate AI processing costs
• Behaviour designed to exploit pricing structures

Where such activity is identified, we will generally attempt to contact the customer before taking any action.

If unusual usage is detected we may:

1. Review account activity
2. Contact the customer for clarification
3. Discuss possible solutions
4. Recommend a plan upgrade where appropriate
5. Apply temporary restrictions if necessary

Our objective is always to resolve issues cooperatively wherever possible.

Except where immediate action is required for security, fraud or legal reasons, we will generally provide written notice before suspending an account for Fair Use violations.

Such notice may include:

• Details of the issue identified
• Requested corrective actions
• A reasonable period to remedy the issue

In most cases this period will be up to thirty (30) days.

Where Fair Use concerns remain unresolved after notice has been provided, SeenAndCited may:

• Restrict specific functionality
• Suspend account access
• Limit resource consumption
• Terminate subscriptions

Such actions will only be taken where reasonably necessary to protect platform stability, service quality or other customers.

Agency customers may manage multiple websites and clients through a single account.

Higher usage associated with legitimate agency operations is expected and supported through the Agency Plan and applicable overage pricing.

The purpose of this policy is not to restrict normal agency activity.

We may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on the SeenAndCited website.

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the latest version of this policy.
